Please read this before you connect with anyone. It is the part of the site most likely to save you trouble.

Pending legal review

This document was drafted to describe how the product works. It has not been reviewed by qualified legal counsel, and it is not legal advice. Each section is written to stand alone so it can be reviewed and replaced.

The central point

Zilli introduces you. It does not hold, move, or guarantee anything, and it cannot recover anything for you, because it never had it. Whatever you and another member arrange carries the same risk as any private arrangement with someone you have just met.

Before you connect

  • Check the match explanation. Does what they say they have and need actually fit what you need?
  • Prefer verified members. Verification confirms an identity; it does not vouch for behaviour.
  • Look at how long they have been a member and how many connections they have completed.
  • Be wary of anyone in an unusual hurry.

Warning signs

  • Pressure to act quickly, or to decide before you have thought about it.
  • A request to move to another app before you have both accepted an introduction.
  • A story that keeps changing, or details that do not line up with their request.
  • Anyone asking for a password, a one-time code, or your identity documents. Nobody legitimate will.
  • Anyone claiming to be staff. We will never contact you inside a conversation.
  • An offer that is markedly better than everything else you have seen.

Protecting yourself

  • Keep the conversation on the platform until you are confident. It is the only part we can review if something goes wrong.
  • Share contact details only when you are ready, and only what you are comfortable with.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication.
  • Never share a password or one-time code with anyone.
  • Trust your instinct. Leaving a connection costs you nothing.

If something goes wrong

Report the member, the request, or the conversation straight away and include as much detail as you can. Block them. Leave the connection.

We will review it and may restrict or suspend the account. We cannot recover anything on your behalf. If you believe a crime has been committed, report it to the police where you are, and tell us, so we can act on our side.

Your legal position

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, which may include currency controls, reporting duties, tax, and rules about the source of funds. We do not give legal or financial advice. If you are not sure something is permitted where you are, ask a qualified professional first.
