Frequently asked questions
What the network is, what it is not, and how it treats your information.
Is this a money transfer service?
No. Zilli does not hold, receive, transmit, exchange, or settle money, and has no wallet, balance, or escrow. It is a matching and introduction network. It finds members whose currency needs are complementary and lets them connect. What two members arrange after that is entirely between them.
So what actually happens?
You describe two things: where your USD is available now, and where you need USD to be available. Another member describes the mirror image. The system recognises that the two requests fit, scores how well, and lets either of you ask for an introduction. If you both agree, you can message each other.
Which countries does it cover?
Nigeria and Lebanon, in USD, in both directions. The system is built so other corridors can be added, but that is all it covers today.
How is match compatibility calculated?
Four factors: whether the amounts overlap in both directions, whether the locations are the exact inverse of each other, whether the timings meet, and whether the currency matches. Verification status and completed connections affect how matches are ordered. It is ordinary application logic, not a language model, and the same inputs always give the same figure.
Is the score a credit rating?
No, and it is not a risk assessment either. It describes how closely two requests line up. It says nothing about whether a person is trustworthy or whether a connection will go well.
Do I have to verify my identity?
Yes, before you can publish a request or ask for an introduction. It is the main reason the network is worth being in. You can create an account and look around before you verify.
What can other members see about me?
Your initials, whether you are verified, your corridor, your amount range, and your timing. Your city, how long you have been a member, and your completed-connection count are each a switch you control. Your full name, email, phone, address, date of birth, and documents are never shown.
When do we exchange contact details?
Only when you choose to. After you both accept an introduction you can message inside the platform. Sharing a phone number, WhatsApp, or email is a separate, explicit action, and you can revoke it.
Can anyone message me?
No. Messaging only exists between members who both accepted an introduction. The server enforces that on every message.
How do I join?
By invitation while the network is small. Request access and we will be in touch when a place opens.
What if something goes wrong?
Report it. Every profile, request, and conversation has a report control, and you can block a member. A person reviews every report and we can restrict or suspend an account. We cannot recover anything for you, because we never held anything. Please read Risk & Safety before you connect with anyone.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from Settings. Your profile, requests, and contact shares are removed. Safety reports filed about you and the audit record of decisions taken are kept, because they belong to a process involving other people. Messages are kept for the retention window in case a report is open, then removed.
Does the platform use AI?
For four optional things: turning a sentence into a draft request for you to check, rewriting a match explanation in friendlier words, suggesting a priority on a report to a human moderator, and summarising risk signals for staff. It never computes a match, never changes an account, and never takes a moderation action. Everything works with it switched off.
